Birth Control and Sex?

My lady has totally lost interest in sex.

She talked to her gyno about this and the Doc said it had to
do with the form of birth control (patch) she was using.
So the control was changed and there has been little or no
change in her level of desire.

I have been reading on the Net and getting contradicting
advise about this.

What has been your experience with sex and birth control?
(My personal experience has been an increase in drive -
usually from the lack of concern about unplanned "events")
