Well... I'mnot underwhelmed by Adult FriendFinder... here's why
My take on Adult FriendFinder: It's great for people who want standard
interactions. Anything out of the ordinary and Adult FriendFinder (like
bars or pubs) fails quickly. If you want a fuck buddy, some
play mates, or some pals, it may well work. If you want Something
More, no way.
Why I say this...
Check out the "Who is Online" - there is a vast
ocean of males and a mere trickle of females.
What this tells me about the Adult FriendFinder "method" is
that there is a very bad imbalance of males:females. Hardly
a surprise, of course. This is one of those occasions when
it would be really great if 80% of the guys were gay... LOL
This is not good for (straight) men or women. For men it means
that making contact is a lottery. For women it means a flood
of mail most of which is, in effect, "spam" -
unwanted info.
Adult FriendFinder has just introduced new filters. Wonderful. So if I
contravene a woman's preference - perhaps a preference
that she's not really bothered by (for example...
a year outside her range or a centimetre taller/shorter,
whatever), then I am invisible.
My Adult FriendFinder experience:
* 260 emails out. 58 back - a slice of which are auto-replies.
* 32 looked at my profile.
* 3 "coffee meetings" meetings - one of which
went "wild"
I rarely initiate contact with a woman unless she seems
to be a close "fit" (forgive the bad pun) but
have a very low "response rate". Why get a response
from someone who's not what you want? Also, I reckon
I describe myself well, and have fiendly intros. I write
well and have tried a range of styles across those 260. But
can't get it up! (the "it" being the read-my-profile"
rate - LOL)
So some terrible proportion of my emails are not seen, fewer
still are opened.
Mine is the good offer in your mail box that gets lost amongst
all the junk mail. Or trying to meet someone at a giant rave.
So will I renew my gold membership? Nope.
