It's a big mistake to try to blame your problems on someone
else. If you have low self-esteem, that's your own
problem, and you've got to take responsibility for
it, and solve it yourself.

The worst thing I've seen about the niceguy phenomenon
is that "nice guys" are almost inevitably guys
with terrible self images who blame all of their problems
on "those evil women", and who believe that
the solution to all of their problems is to find a girlfriend.

Why nice guys are have terrible self images and low self
esteem?

It might drive them underground for a while, but eventually
they'll show their ugly face, and you'll have
to deal with them.

In all likelyhood, you don't have low self-esteem
because women have turned down you - women have turned down
you because you have low self-esteem.

And with good reason - a person with a lousy self image is
no fun to be with.

Shyness is terribly difficult thing to overcome.

I know this first hand - if I don't work very hard to overcome
it.

But it IS possible to overcome.

Solve your self esteem problem for a better relationship

It's a long, constant struggle to overcome your instincts
- and you never stop being a shy person. But if you keep yourself
inside your little shell, you'll NEVER meet anyone.

And again, on this problem: the first key is to solve your
self esteem problem. One way to start overcoming shyness
is to get involved in activities that you're good at
- when you meet people involved in something that you've
got a lot of ability at, you'll feel less insecure.
